Leather

I had no idea what Leather meant. i have had the privilege of listening to some very experienced Leather people share all about their journey. Still, i had no clue what it meant other than living what I already believed to be true. i wanted to serve my community and hold onto my values, but i will admit i was skeptical at first. i grew up in a home and in a church where people said one thing in public and pretended to be fine upstanding members of our community, but behind closed doors was a different story. So i watched people. i observed how they functioned in many different situations and settings. i do not think it is possible for everyone to be 100% authentic all of the time. But these people were pretty close.  The more time i spend with my Leather family and friends, the more i realize that Leather is who i am and it is as much a part of me as anything else.
